Doug in Alaska still remembers Joe. It’s just a dull pain now, but I ono if it will ever fully heal for any of us.

Like so many, I never met Joe. I didn’t even really know who he was until Mur Lafferty on Geek Fu started mentioning a friend of hers who was sick. So as is typical, I was a day late and a dollar short.
I feel robbed for never having the opportunity to meet you Joe. The world is a dark and dangerous place and there are so few shining lights in it. Your friends tell me you were one of those lights. I can hear it in their voices. They miss you and because they miss you, I do too.
Sweet dreams dear one.

A day doesn’t go by that I don’t look at the Joe and Cap cartoon and think of him.

I only got into podcasting late last year - too late to have gotten the chance to meet Joe - but he has been referenced so often on so many podcasts that I listen to that I feel like I *DID* get to know him, if only in spirit. As mentioned so often in the Tribute Podcast, the podcasting community is such a warm, welcoming and caring community, and I know Joe was a big part of that. I feel honored to now be a part of this community and feel Joe’s loss through the profound loss of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Today, the Hypersensitive Podcast (currently from Fort Worth, TX) Remembers Joe.

Thank you Tee and everyone else that put this together. I’ll be posting the audio in my feed tonight. I did fine (listening to it) until I heard Just a Joe. Then Cannonball wondered why Daddy was crying.

It’s been a year. Wow. I started listening to Joe on podcasts in 2004. I exchanged many e-mails with him when I did my contributions to Wingin’ It! He always made time for anyone. It hurt when we lost Joe and at that time my presence from the podcasting community wanned. After listening to this episode, I know that’s not what Joe would have wanted me to do.
I usually listen to my podcasts and do something else while I do. It’s been a LONG time since I’ve listened to a podcast and actually felt every word punctuate so clearly in my head. Thank you all who contributed to this podcast. Thank you for the memories. Thank you for not forgetting.

Thanks for putting this together, Tee. I know it must have been tough. I seriously need a root beer after listening.
Joe, you’re missed as much as ever.

I met Joe once, briefly, at Dragon*Con 2006, but I felt like I knew him through podcasting. I’m not as good with words as many of the comments already on here and on the podcast, but I wanted to say that I remember Joe, and I miss him.

Thanks to the good graces of Mike and Lorrie I was able to meet Joe in late March last year, when I came through Phoenix.
Words still fail me but, I remember Joe.
